Endeavors had been The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s flagship research magazine for more than 40 years. Originally a quarterly print publication, Endeavors evolved over time, expanding online before becoming fully digital in 2012.
In 2019, the magazine returned to print as an annual publication, featuring the most compelling UNC Research stories from the previous year. In 2024, marking its 40th anniversary, Endeavors was reintroduced as UNC Research Stories to better connect with a general audience while continuing its mission of showcasing research at UNC-Chapel Hill.
