A collection of finalized logos I have done over the years.
Research Initiative Campaign
Designed for the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, this logo and mark were created as part of a strategic initiative to position UNC-Chapel Hill as a leading force in research. The Vice Chancellor for Research sought a visual identity that embodied forward momentum while reinforcing the campaign’s core message: “Accelerate, Innovate, and Transform.” The final design captures the dynamic spirit of progress, innovation, and impact, aligning with the university’s commitment to groundbreaking research and discovery.
UNC institute of Marine Sciences 75th Anniversary
Logo concept for the 75th anniversary of UNC’s Institute of Marine Sciences. To celebrate 75 years in the Morehead City community, IMS leadership sought a commemorative logo that was simple, timeless, and inclusive of all research areas. The final design was created for use across various platforms, including apparel, social media, banners, flyers, and signage.
Online Profile Series
Created for UNC's Office of Research Communications' digital magazine, UNC Research Stories, the "Research Uncovered" series features biweekly profiles of researchers at Carolina. Through in-depth interviews, it explores their inspirations, the challenges they’ve overcome, and the lives they lead beyond their labs and offices.
Seed Funding Program Logo System
A flexible logo system for The Hettleman Prizes that honors a long-standing tradition of recognizing outstanding early-career faculty while signaling forward momentum in discovery. There is also an extended mark supporting Het Talks, a TED-style presentation series showcasing the award-winning researchers during Carolina's University Research Week. Multiple assets were created for this identity, such as flyers, individual social media graphics for talk promotions, and a PowerPoint template used by each researcher.
Grant Program
Designed for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research, this mark was created for the launch of the "Creativity Hubs" grant program. The goal was to visually represent the Vice Chancellor's strategic research priorities at that time, which were Brain, Cancer, Data Science, Environment, Disease, Opportunity, Well-being and Culture, and Precision Health and Society. This grant initiative was developed to inspire researchers to develop collaborative projects that bridge multiple priority areas.
